Sparkles to Light Up Mom's Day
Posted on: August 30, 2011
Mother's Day is coming 'round again. Have you been out looking for unique handbags, beautiful briefcases, diamond rings, or pretty sweaters? Maybe the diamond jewelry is off the table, this year at least, but there are still plenty of sparkly gifts out there. Change your chosen rock and suddenly it's more than feasible to add a little shine to your offering. But remember, this is no reason to not add the flowers, those are just as important!
As most people will tell you, diamonds, even ones in the rough, can be hard to come by. Seeing a selection of crystal jewelry sets might spark the determination to buy the gift you need. It's kind of nice to be able to give the mother of your life something she'll like and use, especially when you know it's likely she wouldn't have bought the item herself. Crystals are a fantastic way to adorn an outfit, they're versatile, come in so many colors, and really do shine when they're hit by the sun or a pair of caring eyes.
You're also likely to find crystals decorating more than preciously braided metallic strings. You can find them on cell phone cases, desk sets, and purses. Speaking of which, does anyone else sit back and wonder sometimes, Was Sex and the City ever really good? My answer changes with the seasons, but I'm pretty sure that if it was, it was before that time Big gave Carrie one of those Judith Leiber purses. Why was she so hung up about it? And why did things have to go so south(wardly) after she got the first haircut...I mean, what gives? I guess the purse was something like Aiden's ring.
But returning to our topic at hand, Mom is likely to (claim to) adore almost anything a progeny gives her. So you might even be inclined to go back to your inner sixth-grader and make your mom a wonderful (single strand!) crystal bead bracelet. I, for one, have decided on a festive, oval confetti crystal compact mirror. For the record, I'm baking the cake and throwing in two bouquets.
